Message of the Day (MOTD) Files

These instructions are the same for all MOTD files.

Note: The MOTD files also come with Family Software 2005 (FwFS05).  If 
you have installed (or reinstalled) the latest version of FwFS05 you 
already have the latest MOTD files and do not need to download them again 
separately. The best indicator is to check the date of each file.

Compare the release date in the upper right of your MOTD browser screen 
(part of FwFS05) with the release date for the file on this web site. If 
the release date of the file on this web site is later than the date 
on your MOTD browser screen go ahead and download.  If not, you already 
have the latest file.  

Download Instructions:

Click the [ Back ] button then click on FwMOTDfi.exe to start the 
download.

Download the FwMOTDfi.exe file to the following folder on your PC:

     C:\Program Files\FAMware\Fw_DOWNLOADS
     
Overlay the file with the same name that might already be in this folder.

After you download this file, double click on it to launch it then click 
the [UnZip] button to begin copying the new MOTD files to your PC. Choose 
to replace (i.e., overlay) files already in the following directory:

     C:\Program Files\FAMware\Fw_MESSAGE_OfTheDay

After the process is complete just run FwFS05 as usual.

To see the updated file contents select the message category associated with 
the file using the MOTD Options Window (selected from FwFS05 Family menu).
