Located on the main program window the toolbar is the central point of user interface. |

Focus will change to previous person in the TreeView. (Note: Tree View is an alphabetical view of all the people in your database organized by last name.)
Focus will change to next person in the TreeView.
Panel on right will display primary fields of person with the focus in the TreeView.
Panel on right will display spouse and children of person with the focus in the TreeView.
Panel on right will display ancestors of person with focus in TreeView (number of generations displayed can be changed via Preferences Window).
Panel on right will display descendants of person with focus in TreeView (number of generations displayed can be changed via Preferences Window).
Displays a message window that lists the immediate family links to the person who has the current TreeView focus, i.e., father, mother, spouse, children.
Lets you jump to another person (by typing in their record number) who will receive focus in TreeView.
Lets you select a person using the Record Selection Window; once selected, receives focus in the TreeView.
Brings up the Add New Person Window that lets you add another person to your database that will be included in TreeView and receive the current focus.
Brings up the Data Entry Window to update data for the person that has the current focus in TreeView.
Brings up the Pedigree Entry Window to update person and 5 generations of ancestors for the person who has the current focus in the TreeView. You can also print a 5 generation pedigree chart from this window.
Brings up the Family Group Entry Window to update person, spouse, children, preparer and comments data for the person that has the current focus in the TreeView. You can also print a Family Group Sheet from this window.
Brings up the Family Constructor Window to enter just one nuclear family (father, mother, children) by typing in names and dragging the name to the position in the family.
Brings up the Family Link Window for the person that has the current focus in TreeView. Another way to link people together into families.
Let's you search your database for records containing the text you enter, then displays the results. If clicked again you can narrow your search to just include the records found during the first search.
Produce an alphabetical or numerical Database Listing (display or print).
Brings up the Report Selection Windows so you can select a report for the person who has the current focus in TreeView.
Displays a Window that lists all the files in your database and the number of records (segments) in each one (useful for technical support related to your database and other purposes).
Lets you backup your database by copying it to a diskette or to a folder you specify.
Export/Import records in your database to/from a GEDCOM file.
Brings up the Preferences Window that allows you to change various program options.
Lets you organize your photos and text files into folders.
Brings up the Seasons Greetings List Window to maintain names of relatives to be included.
Let's you use your database to maintain an Address Book (names, phone numbers, addresses, email, etc.). You can add anyone you wish to your database for this purpose, whether a relative or not. Use the + toolbar button to add names that don't need to be linked. You can also export your address book to a file in a format that can be interfaced with other software.
Brings up the Family Reunion List Window to maintain names of relatives to be included in your next Family Reunion.
Brings up the Vectors Window to maintain various reusable record sets stored in vector files.
Brings up the Array Window to maintain the record set that currently resides in memory.
Brings up the Medical Information Module that lets you enter and print medical information for the person who has the current focus in the TreeView. Great to have it when your doctor asks for it. Keep it current.
Brings up the Employment Module that lets you enter and print employment history for the person who has the current focus in the TreeView. Great to have when preparing a resume.
Brings up the Education Module that lets you enter and print education history for the person who has the current focus in the TreeView. Great to have when preparing a resume.
Brings up the Residences Module that lets you enter and print residence history for the person who has the current focus in the TreeView. Great to have when writing a personal or family history, for a security check or for any number of reasons.
Brings up the Organize Family Reunion Window that lets you enter and print information about your next family reunion, including all the events and the people to attend.
Displays the Family Relationships Window that let's you determine the relationship between two people in your database.
Brings up the Family Calendar Window to enter the dates and times of scheduled family events. For example, perhaps you have a family bicycling activity once a month, etc. Plan out your whole year ahead. Print it. Hang it on the fridge.
Brings up the Family Night Window to plan family nights (or any meeting oriented group event or activity) up to 10 weeks in advance. Make assignments. Print it. Distribute it.
Displays the To Do's List Window that lets you enter reminders to yourself, of research or other tasks that you want to complete, associated with the current database you are using.
Display the Date / Time Calendar Window while you work. (Note: This window usually stays open while you work with the TreeView and main window features, but is closed when you launch other windows.)
Displays the Enhancement Request Window used to enter a request for a new feature. Prepares a file to email to FAMware.
